Facts 4 Penn Libraries

Welcome

Penn Libraries’ staff members are at the core of our ability to support the teaching and research mission of the University. Over the past several months, we have actively listened to our staff’s feedback and made changes based directly on your ideas. We value our ability to listen to staff and act immediately, in partnership with you.

Our commitment to you is continuous improvement focused on empowering your success and supporting your well-being. As librarians and staff of Penn Libraries, we expect nothing less than excellence from ourselves and our leaders.

We respect your right to engage or not engage with a labor union. Some members of our staff will have the opportunity to vote whether or not to unionize on August 7 and August 8. We encourage all eligible voters to research what it means to be part of a labor union and examine the pros and cons of how unionization has affected some of your colleagues.

This website was created for you to make information readily accessible about our work environment, how we address staff concerns, and facts about the union. As the election nears, updates and FAQs will be added.
